University of South Carolina Students Assist with Connected Community Engagement Program Assessments

By Jennifer Cobb

The University of South Carolina ITEC 545 Telecommunications class is taking on assisting Richland & Lexington counties with gathering information for their Connected assessments.

As a class project, five 3-person teams of students will work with Community Champions Janet Claggett of Richland County and Stephany Snowden of Lexington County to assist in gathering information on broadband adoption and use for their assessments. In addition, they will document community websites and technology providers & facilities for the inventory section of the Connected Community portal.

Both assessments should be completed later this fall.
