Technology Incubators in SC to Help Start-up Companies

A public-private partnership in Charleston is expanding to help startup technology companies. The Charleston Digital Corridor will open two new incubators to provide low-cost support for new companies. The incubators are designed to grow high-paying tech jobs. In the past 12 years, the corridor has worked with more than 50 companies that have created more than 200 jobs.

'Idea Nights' in Rock Hill

A new program to help high-tech entrepreneurs is about to open its doors in Rock Hill. The Technology Incubator, backed by Clemson University, will soon be the second of its kind in South Carolina as a way to help fuel high-tech start-up businesses get off the ground. Idea Nights will be held to give tech start-ups a first glimpse of what can become of their businesses with the incubator’s help.

The Iron Yard in Spartanburg

The Iron Yard opened its newest space in the HubBub building in downtown Spartanburg this month. The Iron Yard’s health care IT startup accelerator will launch from this location on July 15. It will offer an expansion of Greenville-based CoWork, and startups can rent a portion of this joint space designed for app and software developers, designers and creative entrepreneurs.
